Overview
Support workers enable people with learning disabilities to live safe, fulfilling, and dignified lives in supported accommodation or their own home. The role covers a caseload of approximately 5‑10 individuals across a range of support needs, including low to high, old‑age/dementia, profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), autism/mental health, and outreach services for those living more independently.

London (Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea, Hammersmith & Fulham, Camden, Islington and Southwark)
Position
Days Full‑Time (37.5 hours on a rota basis – Mon‑Sun) or Nights Full‑Time (40 hours – 4 nights per week)
Salary
£14.80 per hour / £28,860 per annum (Overtime rate £16.59 per hour)
Responsibilities
- Enable people with learning disabilities to live safe, fulfilling, and dignified lives in supported accommodation or their own home.
- Support a caseload of approximately 5‑10 individuals across a range of needs including low to high, old‑age/dementia, profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), autism/mental health.
- Work on a rota that may include some weekends, early and late shifts, and possible waking night shifts.
- Perform manual handling duties as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience working with people with learning disabilities or a related care setting.
- Ability to handle manual tasks safely and comply with local or NHS guidance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid DBS check and ability to provide references covering the last three years.
Sessional Work
Option to work on a sessional basis where you decide when and where you work. Both a current CV and completion of the online application are required for consideration.
