SEND Support Assistant

We are currently hiring a dedicated SEND Support Assistant / SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a welcoming school in Leeds. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 support and small group support for pupils with SEND
- Assist teachers in delivering differentiated learning activities
- Support children with autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, or learning difficulties
- Help implement EHCPs and Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
Requirements
- Experience working as a SEND Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant or similar
- Knowledge of SEND needs (ASC, ADHD, SEMH, speech & language)
- Patient, nurturing and resilient approach
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 TA, Care, or SEND—desirable)
