Learning Support Assistant – Full Time

Location: Hertfordshire

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm

Term Time Only

We are currently looking for a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team in Hertfordshire. This is a full‑time, term‑time‑only position supporting children and young people within a school setting.

The role will involve working on a 1:1 basis with a child and/or supporting students within the classroom, during break times, and throughout the school day. Some students may have additional needs, while others may simply require extra support during class time.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 support for individual students
• Supporting pupils within the classroom environment
• Assisting during break and lunchtime activities
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
• Supporting students with additional needs where required
• Helping create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

Requirements

• Experience working with children or young people is preferred
• A caring, patient, and positive attitude
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Must hold a DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one. A DBS refund can be provided after 20 days of successful working.
