The Role
We are looking for a hands-on individual to support our Operations function by stripping, cleaning, rebuilding, and maintaining plant machinery. You will carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and continuous improvement work, identify potential issues early, and help reduce lost time across the Engineering function.
£14.04 per hour
Your Key Responsibilities
- Complete machinery and equipment set ups and changeovers.
- Carry out machinery checks in line with food safety, H&S legislation and site guidelines.
- Report faults and abnormalities, taking a proactive approach to preventing breakdowns.
- Assist Engineering Technicians with breakdowns and tool changes.
- Complete hand backs to Production, Hygiene and Technical teams where applicable.
- Monitor equipment to ensure it continues to perform at an optimal level.
- Minimise downtime without compromising food safety or H&S standards.
- Support and educate Operatives to be more respectful and proactive with equipment.
The Ideal Candidate
- General knowledge of stripping and building machinery.
- Background in a FMCG environment is preferred but not essential.
- Detail focused with the ability to work well in a team.
- Full training will be provided.
