Duties of a Bodyshop Manager

  • Oversee daily workshop operations to ensure efficient workflow from 7am start
  • Lead daily team meetings to set targets, discuss issues, and allocate tasks
  • Manage repair progress and vehicle status updates, liaising with the regional management
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, ensuring proper use of equipment and tools
  • Oversee parts ordering and work volume management for incoming and ongoing jobs
  • Ensure high standards of repair quality and consistency at all repair stages
  • Monitor stock levels and control supplies effectively
  • Ensure complete documentation, including 10‑stage repair images for accurate job packs
  • Support, motivate, and develop workshop staff to uphold company standards and customer satisfaction

Requirements of a Bodyshop Manager

  • Proven experience as a Bodyshop Manager or in a similar leadership role within the automotive repair industry
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills with a confident leadership style
  • Proficiency in IT systems relevant to repair processes and management
  • Demonstrable knowledge of modern repair procedures and health and safety standards
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and motivate a team
  • Enthusiastic individual with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service
