We are now seeking a Commercial Assistant to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and commercially focused individual to support supplier management, commercial auditing, and contract performance across our operations.

In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring supplier compliance, value for money, and high standards of service delivery, while supporting positive client and stakeholder relationships.

What you’ll do:

  • Conduct desktop commercial audits on third‑party supplier estimates and applications for payment.
  • Ensure commercial compliance and value for money across supplier submissions.
  • Manage and negotiate supplier queries through to resolution and acceptance on behalf of the client.
  • Provide insight and feedback following audits, identifying supplier behaviours, best practice, and areas of concern.
  • Monitor and report on supplier performance against contractual obligations.
  • Identify works that may require onsite audits or further review.
  • Facilitate supplier payments accurately and efficiently.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Support the Contract Management team by identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery.
  • Actively participate in your community of practice by sharing knowledge, supporting innovation, and promoting best practice across the wider team.

What you bring:

  • Demonstrable commercial awareness and strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent numerical and data analysis capabilities.
  • Experience analysing Excel‑style data sets and identifying trends.
  • Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to create and edit detailed documents and spreadsheets.
  • Motivation to continuously develop technical skills and knowledge.
  • Ability to pass security vetting carried out by the client.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Building Services and Facilities Management.
  • Understanding of property, building fabric, and M&E terminology.
  • Degree qualified or working towards a degree in FM, Construction, Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in customer or supplier relationship management.
  • Previous experience within an FM or Building Services environment.
  • Experience using PSA/NSR Schedule of Rates.
  • Experience working with CAFM systems.
