JOB TITLE: Forge Operative – Die Plant

LOCATION: Halesowen

HOURS: 39 hours per week, Monday to Wednesday and Thursday

PAY: £33,397 to £37,897, plus overtime

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Report to Forges Team Leaders or Die Plant Manager with any issues with product, health and safety or machine breakdowns
• Adhere to and encourage health and safety methods and procedures
• Inspection for all components throughout the process
• Support in continuous improvement
• Make sure all forging areas are tidy and organised
• Work as efficiently as possible
• Operate forklift truck, crane and other equipment as required
• Hardness testing and sign off route card operations
• Cleaning, tidying and improving the state of the department
• Lorry loading and unloading
• Operate machinery around forging presses

Required Skills & Experience

• Overhead crane licence
• Previous forge experience
• Forklift licence (ideal)
