Position Overview

The Community Payback Supervisor role involves supervising a group of offenders on a community sentence, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and effectively. The role may require the use of service vehicles and can involve weekend work. Salaries start at £26,475 with annual pay progression.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise up to 7 hours a day of a work group on unpaid work placement.
  • Drive service vehicles to transport people or equipment.
  • Plan, organise and monitor site supervision tasks such as clearing overgrowth, restoring community facilities, planting trees or laying flowerbeds, litter picking and graffiti removal.
  • Ensure wellbeing of participants and manage rest breaks appropriately.
  • Model good practice and support individuals to achieve their personal development goals.

Working Pattern

Work may include frequent weekends and some evenings. Weekend work is paid at a 50% higher rate. The role is designed to accommodate flexibility for those with caring responsibilities.

Requirements

Applicants must hold a full UK Manual Driving Licence and have the right to work in the UK.
