You will need to be enthusiastic, have great people skills, and a positive proactive approach to your role, supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, mental health and complex needs.

Where You’ll Be Working

Chard – Somerset. This is a unique service within Chard offering supported living, enabling people to live as independently as possible within their own homes and local community. We are looking for support workers to join our amazing team and continue delivering outstanding outcomes.

What is required from you?

  • A minimum of 12 months on your right to work
  • Full Time, Part Time & Bank positions available

Responsibilities

  • Encouraging people to play active roles in the communities in which they live, encouraging independence.
  • Supporting activities of daily living including social activities, personal care, routines, planning and preparation of meals and budgeting.
  • Communicating effectively using people’s chosen methods.
  • Engaging – promoting and motivating people we support to enhance their quality of life.
  • Specialising – supporting people who may need positive behavioural support approaches.
  • Recording – keeping accurate records and reporting changes in health or circumstances of service users to management.
  • Team player – working as part of a team, as well as being able to work using your own initiative.
