Due to our continued success, we are expanding and looking for a talented Operations Inbound Coordinator to join our team.

Your Role

You are an Operations Inbound Coordinator, responsible for the short-term (up to 3 months’ visibility) planning and purchasing activities. This candidate must have strong communication skills and maintain a clear line of communication internally and externally, resulting in optimised customer service, plan execution, and inventory targets. Your main responsibilities will be to issue purchase orders, ensure POs are on track through to delivery, communicate with vendors and ensure accurate inventory levels in a complex contract manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Inbound Shipment Coordination

  • Recommend, issue, and track purchase orders for components, filling & finished goods
  • Maintain full visibility of purchase orders and track through to delivery; point of contact & weekly open orders calls
  • Obtain transport quotes and monitor costs in an offline tracker to ensure all quotes captured
  • Partner with Logistics to ensure timely inbound delivery of POs via air, ocean & trucks

Inventory Management

  • Receive purchase orders into ERP – flag any discrepancies on advanced Shipping Notice vs Receipt
  • Conduct monthly inventory reconciliations on components at supplier locations
  • Analyze and report monthly on excess, obsolete and discontinued
  • Liaise with Demand Planning and warehouse management team to ensure that stock is available to be allocated accordingly
  • Manages all warehouse transfers

Procurement

  • Process purchase orders to domestic and international vendors.
  • Track and provide visibility to purchase orders through the complete production cycle.
  • Create and manage vendor timelines, troubleshooting and resolving delays/issues as they arise.
  • Develop logistics requirements (specifications) with suppliers
  • Assist in price reviews and negotiations
  • Assist in resolving invoice discrepancies

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in FMCG Outbound Operations management
  • Advanced excel skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent analysis abilities

Hours of work: Monday-Friday 9am-6pm. Fully in office, London based.
