Overview

Gateway Customer Service Advisor – Ashford Gateway Plus, Ashford, Kent, TN23 1AS. 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Full-time front-line customer services role with potential flexibility to work at other Gateway sites such as Tenterden Gateway.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advice and guidance to a wide range of customers, assisting them to access services.
  • Adapt communication style to match individual needs and demonstrate excellent people skills.
  • Collate, manage and keep up-to-date a knowledge base of information to support customers.
  • Work independently using personal initiative, remaining resilient and confident when handling a variety of enquiries and situation‑driven challenges.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments, supporting the Gateway Co‑ordinator in the efficient running of the Gateway.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to tailor style to various customers.
  • Strong organisational and information‑management abilities.
  • Resilient, confident and capable of working under own initiative.
  • Command of spoken English sufficient for the effective performance of the role, as required by Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016.
  • Subject to a Basic Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
