Role Overview
We have a permanent, part‑time vacancy for a Business Support Assistant based at New County Hall, Truro. The office base can be considered on a rota and may be dependent on the successful applicant’s residence.
The successful candidate will work in a small team that supports front‑line practitioners to achieve the best outcomes for children and families. The duties will include:
- Monitoring administrative mailboxes and answering telephone enquiries
- Distributing documents and managing records
- Providing meeting administration, including occasional minuting
- Processing financial transactions
- Using our database system
Working Pattern
Part‑time, 18.5 hours per week with a flexible rota. The role involves attendance at an office base on a rota and other days working remotely from home or another location.
Qualifications and Experience
- 4 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 9–4 (A‑C) including English and Maths
- Excellent keyboard skills
- Experience in an office environment is an advantage
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to liaise at all levels
- Professional approach with discretion and diplomacy
- Flexibility and the ability to work within a busy team environment, producing accurate outputs to deadlines
