Job Title: Day Service Support Worker

Starting Salary: £25,185 progressing to £26,403 per annum

Hours: 37 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: Hertfordshire

Directorate: Adult Care Services

Role Overview

People with disabilities in Hertfordshire need people like you! You will support people in their day‑to‑day activities. This role focuses on providing opportunities for people by enabling them to connect within their communities, putting choice, independence, enablement, and citizenship at the heart of everything we do.

We provide support both emotionally and physically to people from different care groups including older people with age‑associated needs, younger or older adults with complex physical and/or learning disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Support individuals with personal care including bathroom support, mobility aids, and dietary needs.
  • Assist with the use of moving and handling equipment.
  • Enabling independence and citizenship through active community engagement.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship.

Qualifications & Training

There is no requirement for prior experience or qualifications. We will provide all necessary training, including the Care Certificate and RQF award.

Applicants should be physically capable of performing personal care tasks safely and effectively.

Proof of right to work in the UK is required; sponsorship is not available.
