Are you interested in broadening your knowledge and experience in brain injury? Do you want to make a positive difference to someone’s life? Have you a passion for development in care and rehabilitation? Whatever your background, join our team and help someone reach their full potential and live life to the max.

On behalf of our client, Head First is recruiting a part‑time team support worker to provide support to a 37‑year‑old man with an acquired brain injury who lives in his own home in the Burgess Hill area. The support worker will work alongside the client, his family and healthcare professionals as part of a support team providing a rehabilitation package.

The client has a full programme of activities and likes to keep busy, which includes voluntary work, active sporting and PT sessions as well as various leisure activities. Due to his brain injury, he requires support with daily living, including arranging and accessing appointments, partaking in social activities and outings, menu planning, preparation and generally building skills to live as independently as possible in his own home.

You will become part of a friendly, close‑knit team who benefit from support and encouragement from a caring and understanding family network, who all work collaboratively to ensure the client is living a fulfilled and enriched life.

Our client can struggle with concentration and initiation, therefore it is important to maximise independence, provide a structured approach and to engage in meaningful activities, ensuring the client’s schedule is maintained.

This is a great opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life and to gain an in-depth knowledge of brain injury rehabilitation.
