Overview

The AICS Group specialises in providing community-based rehabilitation and support to our clients who have a brain injury, cerebral palsy, spinal injuries, learning disabilities, complex behaviour, live in support and social and personal needs.

The AICS Group is looking for Male / female Support Worker to work with our client located in Windsor. This role provides immense job satisfaction within a busy and varied environment, working with a range of health and social care professionals.

Role

Client: Our male client who has acquired a brain injury requires a Support Worker to provide support with rehabilitation goals.

Hours required: The shift pattern for our client is as follows:

12 hr shifts (Monday to Saturday)

Responsibilities

  • Provide support with rehabilitation goals as part of the client’s care plan.
  • Move and handle according to safety guidelines.
  • Provide personal care and assist with medication administration as required and instructed by healthcare professionals.
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals daily to coordinate care and progress.
  • Support the client in a person-centred approach within their home environment.
  • Record and communicate client progress and any concerns promptly.
  • Participate in ongoing training and reflect on feedback to improve care delivery.

Person Specification

Essential Skills:

  • A minimum of 1 year experience in health and social care
  • UK Driving License
  • Moving and handling
  • Psychology Graduate
  • Rehab experience
  • Basic understanding of developmental delay and cognitive impairment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good IT skills
  • Ability to work in the client2 0120s home
  • Ability to liaise with healthcare professionals daily
  • Ability to take a person-centred approach
  • Willingness to learn and the ability to take on feedback
  • Ability to think outside the box

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience of providing care to people living in the community
  • Participate in Support Worker meetings
  • Participate in person-centred training
