Overview

Job Title: Scheduler

Job Type: Permanent

Location: Durrington, West Sussex (Hybrid – 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home)

Salary: £29,325.22

Hours: 38 hours per week / Hybrid working

Shift Pattern: Early and late shifts with 1 in 9 weekend work. This will be explained in full at interview.

Closing Date: 2026-06-12

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Scheduling of reactive and planned work during core business hours, ensuring jobs are dispatched in a prioritised manner and relevant contractors/operational teams are utilised efficiently.
  • Regular communication with District Managers/Field Performance Managers to review area performance.
  • Flexible approach to scheduling and reacting to emergency situations to prevent customer and compliance issues.
  • Monitor and manage field team whereabouts to ensure adherence to schedule.
  • Support and assist the Controller during normal operations and disruptive events to deliver the optimum service that meets business and customer needs.
  • Set customer expectations by keeping customers informed of the progress of their enquiry via telephone contact.
  • Accurately record all information necessary to resolve open work orders, incidents, issues or customer complaints to enable trend and management information.

What You’ll Bring To The Role

  • Good customer service background.
  • Experience working toward deadlines and handling multiple priorities in a busy environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Competent user in Outlook, Excel and Teams; familiarity with internal systems such as Ellipse, Lightfoot, Water Works.

We provide a 6-week training programme from day one. You will be working within a supportive team as you learn the role.

We also offer hybrid working where you will be expected to work 3 days in the Durrington office and you can work from home the other 2 days. The office is accessible by train and bus routes. The office has a canteen, and in the summer you can lunch outside overlooking the pond.
