About the Role

We are looking for a dependable, proactive and resilient individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school. This is a practical, active role suited to someone who is confident, steady under pressure, and ready to get stuck in to support young people in a meaningful way.

You will work closely with students with a range of additional needs, supporting them throughout the school day both in and out of the classroom. The role calls for patience, consistency, and a calm, firm approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting students with learning, behaviour, and day-to-day routines
  • Assisting the class teacher with lessons and structured activities
  • Working one-to-one or with small groups to reinforce learning
  • Managing challenging behaviour with confidence and consistency
  • Supporting students during break times, transitions, and off-site activities
  • Assisting with personal care, including toileting and hygiene needs

Who We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
  • Have a calm, confident, and approachable manner
  • Be physically active and comfortable in a hands-on role
  • Be willing to support students with personal care needs
  • Communicate clearly and build strong, respectful relationships
  • Be adaptable, practical, and ready to take initiative
  • Experience working with children or young people is helpful, but not essential

What We Offer

  • A strong, supportive team environment
  • Ongoing training and development
  • A varied, active role where every day is different
  • The opportunity to make a real impact on students’ lives

If you’re someone who takes pride in being reliable, practical, and making a difference where it counts, we encourage you to apply.
