Maintenance Assistant (Permanent) LDN

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake general property maintenance & repairs throughout our properties including carpentry, tiling, decoration with general repairs to doors, windows & locking systems.
• Build minor timber structures such as sheds, crates and kennels.
• Install and repair gutters and drainpipe systems.
• Perform general basic plumbing repairs.
• Source materials from local suppliers and manufacturers.
• Assist other staff members as required.
• Provide cover for colleagues during absences and on‑call assistance.
• Ensure that all work is completed to the highest standard.
• Liaise regularly with colleagues, supervisors and managers to deliver efficient and effective service to the client.
• Adhere to shift patterns and on‑call rota as required.
• Adhere to all company policies & procedures, particularly health & safety.
• Perform any other duties as directed by the line manager.

Knowledge & Skills

• Demonstrate good use of basic hand tools.
• Knowledge of building trades such as carpentry, door & window locks, decorating, plastering and tiling.
• Sound numerical ability for measuring and making calculations.
• Basic knowledge of current Building Regulations.
• Thorough understanding of Health and Safety standards.
• Professional approach with emphasis on confidentiality.
• Full clean UK driving licence.
• Significant proven experience.
• Ability to follow specific instructions.
