The post is within the Cardiff Crisis Team, a Multidisciplinary Mental Health Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team (CRHTT) covering Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan. The CRHTT provides an alternative to hospital admission for clients who can be cared for safely with intensive home treatment. Clients have access to Day Services up to seven days per week, and a Crisis House for respite.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for individuals with excellent communication and assessment skills in acute mental health and significant post‑registration experience. The role requires detailed risk assessment. The service operates 24/7, so the post-holder must be willing to work a rota, including night duty.
Traveling in a timely manner between rural sites with limited or no public transport is essential.
Welsh language skills are desirable but not mandatory. Welsh and English speakers are welcome.

Qualifications
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMHN) or equivalent
Experience
- Community or acute inpatient nursing experience
Knowledge & Skills
- Relevant knowledge of supporting clients in adult acute and/or community nursing settings
Personal Qualities
- Good work ethic, flexible approach, team player
- Ability to travel promptly between rural sites with limited or no public transport
- Experience assessing patients or working with patients with risks
