Location
Workington Facility, Cumbria – shift allowance applicable (approximately 12.5% uplift on top of basic salary).
Salary
Basic Salary: £31,049 to £37,796 per annum (AFC Band 5). Additional salary uplift of approximately 12.5% for working 365 days per year on a rotating shift pattern.
Job Overview
We are seeking three experienced vehicle technicians to join our team. The NWAS Vehicle Technician will ensure all Trust vehicles (petrol, diesel, hybrid and electric) are serviced, repaired and maintained to Trust and DVSA standards, including specialist ambulance equipment.
Responsibilities
• Service, repair and maintain all Trust vehicles to Trust and DVSA standards, including specialist ambulance equipment.
• Operate within a modern workshop environment to maximize vehicle throughput, reduce workshop delays and minimise supply‑chain frustrations.
Qualifications
• Recognised apprenticeship (e.g., Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair) or equivalent experience with NVQ or C&G level 3 qualifications.
• Full UK driving licence with category C1 entitlement.
