Overview
As administrator you will support your administration colleagues and the wider clinical team in the day to day running of the service. Ensuring that our patients needs are met and receive high quality, timely care from our team. The role is busy and can be demanding, however you will receive support and guidance from all colleagues who value each other and your contribution to the team. This is a 30-hour per week role based in Wakefield.

Job responsibilities include central to the smooth running of the team, receiving and processing new patient referrals, and assisting referrers including professionals, patients and families by telephone. You will assist clinicians with diary bookings and general administration tasks. You will be working to support the weekly multi-disciplinary team meeting and monthly staff meeting. Responsibilities
- Receive and process new patient referrals; support referrers including professionals, patients and families by telephone
- Assist clinicians with diary bookings and general administration tasks
- Support with organisation of weekly multi-disciplinary team meetings and monthly staff meetings
- Provide confidential secretarial/administrative support within approved policies, procedures and guidelines
- Develop and maintain good working relationships; communicate effectively with tact, empathy and confidentiality
- Maintain service understanding to inform decision making and adapt to service needs
- Prioritise tasks, exercise initiative and seek guidance on issues outside competence or authority
- Ensure service delivery aligns with trust policies and value-based induction
Qualifications and Essential Skills
- Must be willing/able to undertake all appropriate Trust mandatory training and refresher training
- Willingness to undergo job development and maintain skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills; ability to deal with routine correspondence and confidential messages
- Understand data protection and information governance considerations
- Customer care skills; ability to work with diverse populations
- Resilience to pressure and ability to handle emotionally challenging situations
- Non-judgemental, empathetic manner; ability to identify potential risks and act appropriately
- Ability to travel around the Trust as appropriate to role
- NVQ level 3 or RSA III or OCR III (or equivalent) or demonstrate competency at level 3
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of information governance
- Problem solving skills
- Experience in NHS software programmes
- Leadership skills; excellent IT skills
