Support Worker – Adults & Families

Location: Truro, CornwallPay: £15.34 per hourHours: 37 hours per weekContract: 5 month

We are currently recruiting for a Support Worker to join a dedicated Adults & Families service based in Truro. This is a rewarding opportunity supporting vulnerable adults within a community‑focused environment.

Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle, as there is an expectation to cover additional schemes across Cornwall.

The Role

• Supporting individuals with a variety of support needs
• Delivering person‑centred support and support planning
• Risk assessing and managing challenging situations
• Maintaining accurate records and case notes
• Lone working as well as working collaboratively within a team
• Building positive relationships with service users and partner agencies

Requirements

• Experience within support work, housing support, social care or similar settings
• Understanding of support planning and risk management
• Strong communication and rapport‑building skills
• Confident using IT systems and maintaining accurate records
• Resilient, adaptable and able to work under pressure
• Flexible approach to shifts including lates, weekends and bank holidays
• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle

• Rolling 5‑week rota pattern
• Enhanced DBS required
• Applicants must have the right to work in the UK for the full duration of the contract
