Extraordinary Days Every Day
At ROC Northwest, you’re not just working – you’re shaping futures. Every moment you spend with our young people helps them feel safe, valued and supported. From a simple “How was your day?” to a shared laugh over a board game, these small interactions build trust and shape lives. Some days will be challenging, but every breakthrough, every smile and every step forward reminds you why this work truly matters.
What You’ll Do
As a Children’s Residential Support Worker you will support young people with their daily routines: getting them ready for school, prepping for meal times and planning activities.
- Ensure our children receive the highest level of support
- Support senior staff with timely updates
- Promote individuality – not a “one size fits all” approach
- Complete and update care plans regularly, adding any additional requirements
- Help create a warm, homely environment by assisting with light housekeeping
- Build strong, meaningful relationships and provide emotional support
- Plan and join fun activities such as trips to the park, popcorn & movie nights or creative projects
New staff must be comfortable using an electronic care‑recording system daily to document, monitor and update children’s records accurately. Experience with Clearcare is an advantage, but not essential – full training will be provided. All staff are expected to confidently use digital systems as part of their day‑to‑day role.
A Little About This Home
Laceby House is a four‑bed detached house specifically adapted to accommodate up to four young people of either gender between the ages of 8 and 18. The young people here may have a range of learning, emotional, behavioural and social needs, and may have also had a history of vulnerability relating to sexual exploitation or influences from alcohol and/or illegal substances in their previous home lives. The setting is designed to provide a friendly and homely atmosphere, with decorating guided by our children to reflect a family home where they feel safe, relaxed and cared for. Our staff work hard to lead the young people toward reaching their full potential and preparing them for future responsibilities.
