What is the job role?

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Housing with Care Team. To assist and support the management in the overall administration of a Housing with Care scheme, supervising and working with a group of staff, deploying resources that meet the needs of tenants through person‑centred service delivery. We are looking for individuals who truly care about people in their community and want to enable and empower people to live independently and to assist tenants in maintaining their independence and achieving their outcomes. The Service delivers Care and Support to tenants in six of our Housing with Care Schemes, located across the city.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist and support the management in the overall administration of the Housing with Care scheme, supervising and working with a group of staff, and deploying resources that meet the needs of tenants through person‑centred service delivery.
  • Ensure the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual well‑being of each service user, promoting the delivery of a quality service.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety requirements, safeguarding vulnerable adults, and ensure the service meets the needs and outcomes of each service user.
  • Support the staff team to meet and excel the expected behaviour guidelines.

Who are we looking for?

  • Good knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures and the ability to work with management to ensure that all Service Users’ needs are being met to support their individual outcomes.
  • The ability to use one’s own initiative and respond flexibly to the needs of Service Users, promoting dignity, respect, and choice at all times.
  • A willingness to work various shifts starting from 7.00 am, evenings up to 10 pm and weekends and bank holidays on a rota shift basis of 18½ hours per week across six Housing with Care locations.
  • Previous experience working in a Health or Social Care setting; Diploma 2 or equivalent (NVQ 3 in Social Care) to achieve a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
  • Right to work in the UK; no sponsorship provided.
  • Receipt of a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check; exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
