SEMH Support Assistant

About the role:

justteachers are supporting a primary school in Coventry to recruit a SEMH Support Assistant. This is a full-time role with an Immediate start, fixed term until the end of the academic year. The school adopts a trauma-informed approach and has a strong pastoral team, with access to behaviour specialists and ongoing CPD.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support pupils with SEMH needs
• Deliver emotional regulation strategies
• Build positive relationships
• Support engagement in learning

Pre-requisites:

• Level 2 or higher teaching assistant qualification or equivalent (Must be relevant to working with children)
• Proven experience working with children in a school or relevant setting (That can be referenced)
• A minimum of two references that cover the past two years, including last employer. Ideally references will be education or school-based references
