Job Description:

Salary

  • Starting salary: £39,520 for candidates with NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent in Mechanical/Engineering Subject)
  • £35,360 for candidates with NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent in Mechanical/Engineering Subject)

Working Hours & Location

Permanent full‑time, with flexibility for part‑time. 37 hours, 5‑day working pattern (including some weekends). Location: Clacton, Colchester and surrounding areas.

Role Overview

You will join a fantastic team dedicated to making a positive, direct impact on the environment and the communities we serve. As a maintenance technician, you will carry out general repairs, investigate and rectify faults, and complete scheduled maintenance to ensure the reliability of our assets.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the day‑to‑day operation and maintenance of water recycling assets, including equipment installed at water treatment works.
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on our mechanical assets.
  • Utilise mechanical control systems, telemetry systems, pumps, gearboxes, and general mechanical/electrical plant maintenance expertise.

Qualifications

  • NVQ level 2 or 3 (mechanical/engineering) qualification (or equivalent).
  • Relevant work experience or completed apprenticeship.
  • Full UK driving licence.
