Job Description:

Our client, a globally recognised organisation, is currently seeking an experienced and highly organised Operations Buyer & Travel Category Support Specialist to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build on their procurement and operations experience within a fast-paced, international environment.

Working as part of a global function, you’ll play a key role in supporting day‑to‑day procurement activity, taking ownership of the indirect purchase order lifecycle, from creation and placement through to supplier coordination and invoice reconciliation. You’ll also support global stakeholders with vendor onboarding and maintenance, as well as assisting with IT‑related approval processes.

In addition to procurement responsibilities, you’ll act as an important point of contact for the organisation’s travel programme, supporting the management of their Egencia (TMC) account. This will involve handling a range of traveller queries, including those from senior leadership, and identifying opportunities to streamline and improve travel processes.

The role also offers exposure to a broad range of operational and project‑based activities, including supporting card‑based spend processes, processing confidentiality agreements and contract requests, and working alongside legal teams to help administer contracts. You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to e‑sourcing initiatives, including RFPs and eAuctions.

A strong focus of the role is data and reporting, with responsibility for producing KPI metrics, analysing performance, and supporting the wider business with clear, insight‑driven reporting.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to analyse and manage complex datasets
  • Experience within procurement, purchasing, or operational support roles
  • Familiarity with travel management systems (Egencia or similar preferred)
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively across global teams and manage multiple priorities
  • Confident communication skills, including interaction with senior stakeholders
  • Exposure to vendor management, contracts, or e‑sourcing tools would be beneficial
