Job Title: Communication Support Assistant
Location: Bristol
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £14.26 – £16.00 per hour
We are looking for a compassionate and engaging Communication Support Assistant to support children and young people with additional communication needs in a specialist SEND provision in Bristol.
Responsibilities include working closely with students on a one-to-one and small group basis, supporting access to the curriculum and facilitating communication development across Early Years, Key Stage 1 (KS1) and secondary age groups.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND or communication needs
- A patient, friendly and proactive approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience supporting students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
- A creative and engaging approach to learning support
- BSL knowledge or experience supporting children with hearing impairments (desirable but not essential)
