Overview

Through an initial and immediate in-house training program, you will learn and understand the broad infrastructure of the NPS service, its relationships with other systems and how your Batch System Operations Technician role supports this.

You will work towards being proficient in the day-to-day NPS Batch operational support activities including batch monitoring, scheduling and execution of all batch jobs. You will act as first and second line support for problem resolution and escalations, ensuring that all problems are resolved within the requirements of the appropriate service levels. You will collaborate with and, with experience, act as a mentor to new and existing team colleagues to improve their learning and understanding of NPS and its individual batch elements. You will liaise with our main Service Delivery Partners (Accenture) and wider HMRC CDIO managerial and support teams such as the NPS Service Owners, the Customer Experience and Bridge Operations and more. You will, with guidance, build knowledge and experience over an extended timeframe and be able to demonstrate the skill sets and behaviours required to fulfil the role and duties of an NPS Shift Leader.

The candidate will need to display a professional attitude, attention to detail, security awareness and will be able to work to a schedule, ensuring that all deadlines are achieved without compromising quality.
