Support worker / Personal Assistant
Hours per week
4 hours a week on a weekend, plus an extra 4 hours (8 in total) during the school holidays.

About the role
I am seeking a Personal Assistant to take my 5‑year‑old daughter out for activities such as walks, drives, visits to the beach and park, and swimming. The assistant will drive with the child, so a full driving licence and access to a car with appropriate business insurance cover are essential. The child has a learning disability, is non‑verbal, and requires supervision at all times to keep her safe.
Key responsibilities
- Provide support in relation to existing favoured activities, including walks, park and beach visits, and swimming.
- Support the child by taking her for drives in the car, to assist with episodes of emotional dysregulation.
- Provide one‑to‑one care and attention at all times to keep the child safe.
- Always carry a mobile phone that is kept charged for use in an emergency.
- Use patience and excellent observation and interpersonal skills to meet the child’s needs.
- Perform any other duties that fall within the scope of the role, pending discussion and mutual agreement.
- Willing to undertake further training if required.

Requirements
- Valid DBS check.
- Two references.
