Our client is a leading manufacturer, offering innovative solutions with a commitment to excellence and precision.
The Role:As a Production Operative, you will work within the manufacturing department dealing with the assembly, testing, and inspection of company products.
Main Responsibilities:• Assist in the assembly and finish of moulded parts as directed by the Team Leader, ensuring high workmanship standards and quality.• Support the preparation of mouldings in line with the production schedule.• Prepare products, ensuring all processes are followed accurately.• Engage in the cutting, grinding, and flow coating of bonded products.• Contribute to other areas of the manufacturing process as directed by your line supervisor.• Assist in the production of sub-assemblies when required.• Support the training of new production operatives and other personnel.• Maintain a clean and tidy workstation.• Operate in accordance with the company’s Health and Safety procedures and other related policies.
About You:Applicants should have a can-do attitude, be self-motivated, and able to work on their own initiative. Experience in a similar environment is essential, and candidates must be practically minded with the ability to use conventional workshop power and hand tools. Effective communication skills, attention to detail, and a good work ethic are crucial.
Required:• A good standard of general education.• 2+ years of experience in a similar environment or Engineering BTEC Level qualifications with 1-2 years of experience.• Ability to use conventional workshop power and hand tools.• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise work.
