About the role
As a Maintenance Person, you will ensure that the premises and grounds are maintained to a high standard. You will perform regular checks, carry out repairs, and, when necessary, contact engineers or service agents. You will be confident in carrying out fire, basic electrical, and appliance checks. You will be a valuable member of the home’s friendly, close‑knit team, promoting the well‑being of residents and the successful running of the home.
Reports to: Home Manager/Asset Manager
Skills and attributes
- Previous experience in property maintenance or a related field
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations
- Excellent problem‑solving skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills, written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in computer software, including spreadsheets and word processing programs
- Ability to manage budgets and maintain accurate financial records
- Possession of a D1 driving licence is desirable but not essential
