Job Description:

Equans is looking for a Painter & Decorator to join our team on a contract with Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust estate. The role is based across Sandwell Health Campus and Midland Metropolitan University Hospital (MMUH). This is a full‑time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a salary of up to £29,600 per annum and benefits package.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake decorative improvement work, maintenance, and repairs to the fabric of the building, as part of the Fabric (Days) Team.
  • Interpret and work from all instructions, drawings, and specifications appropriate to the trade, without supervision.
  • Deliver planned lifecycle programmes of internal and external painting, decoration, and maintenance.
  • Prepare surfaces and apply finishes including paint, varnish, and wallpaper.
  • Carry out various painting and decorating tasks to a high standard as instructed by the company.

Qualifications

  • Background in painting and decorating.
  • City and Guilds Institute Painting and Decorating Parts 1 and 2 qualifications.
  • Good working knowledge of painting and decorating services.

DBS Basic check is required; ability to pass is essential.
