Teaching Assistant

Scale 2 (£24,796 – £25,185 pro rata, actual salary £18,629.44 – £18,921.75)

32.5 Hours, Part Tme

Term Time Only

Permanent

Start Date: September 2026

Responsibilities

  • To be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school
  • To provide general assistance to teaching staff throughout the school
  • On occasions to provide cover for whole classes/when and if requiredhave the ability to work calmly with any incidents which may arise assist including basic first aid

Qualifications & Experience

The role requires experience working with children, particularly in a school setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential to build effective relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues. An awareness of different learning needs, including special educational needs, and effective behaviour management are key. You should be enthusiastic, flexible, reliable, and committed to raising pupil achievement while safeguarding children and contributing positively to school life and teamwork.
