Class 1 Driver – Landside trucking – Heathrow Airport

Based at London Heathrow

Pay Rate: £17.98 per hour

We are seeking an experienced and responsible employee with a Class 1/LGV1 Licence to join our team of Drivers. This role involves transporting secure air freight from locations around the UK and Ireland, and supporting LHR local cross dock servicing Heathrow Airport.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s licence, Class 1/LGV1 licence, and at least two years of experience driving LGV.
• No more than 6 points on your licence.
• Full 5 years checkable work history; cargo operative certificate (training can be given to the right candidate); basic disclosure with no disqualifying convictions.

Shifts

Shifts are 4 on 4 off including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of vehicle maintenance.
• Ensure cargo is secure during transit.
• Manage loading and unloading of vehicles and ensure cargos are handled safely and efficiently.
• Be willing to work irregular shifts and long hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Completing paperwork correctly and clearly.
