Opportunity
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Swimming Teacher at Places Leisure. You will work in a fun, lively environment with likeminded people, inspire others, deliver excellent class programming, and engage customers with your expertise.
All swimmer development stages are based on the National Plan for Teaching Swimming. Swimming Teachers should hold a minimum of UKCC Level 2. A Lifesaving Qualification (NPLQ or NRASTC) is advantageous, but we support motivated individuals in obtaining these qualifications.
Career Path
As a Swimming Teacher, you can progress to roles such as Swimming Coordinator or Contract Swimming Development Manager.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver swimming lessons for groups and one-to-one sessions.
- Build trust, encourage, and motivate students of all ages.
- Apply industry best practice and teaching skills to help students reach their potential.
- Seek out development opportunities and suggest ideas to improve services.
Qualifications
- Passionate about helping people of all ages learn to swim or improve their confidence in water.
- Friendly, approachable, patient with the ability to build trust.
- Motivated and driven to attain UKCC Level 2 and, if possible, an NPLQ or NRASTC.
- Continuous learner, eager to enhance customer service and teaching skills.
