ASD Teaching Assistant

ASD Teaching Assistant – SEN School – East Finchley, full-time, term‑time only, immediate & September starts available.

The Role

• Support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) on a 1:1 and small‑group basis.
• Assist with communication, emotional regulation, and classroom engagement.
• Work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff.
• Help implement individual learning and behaviour strategies.
• Encourage independence, confidence, and positive social interaction.
• Support pupils with sensory and emotional needs throughout the school day.

Ideal Candidate

• Patient, calm, and empathetic.
• Passionate about SEN and inclusive education.
• Experienced working with ASD, SEN, or young people (preferred but not essential).
• Confident supporting challenging behaviour when required.
• A strong communicator and team player.
• Available full‑time during term time.
