Working Pattern: 2.5 days per week

What You Need to Succeed

To be successful in this role you will need the following criteria:

Essential

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS)
  • Recent and successful primary teaching experience across primary age range, minimum of 5 years
  • Commitment to Church of England education and living the school’s Christian vision
  • Ability to manage behaviour consistently ensuring inclusive practice
  • Clear commitment to inclusion and high expectations for all pupils
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the National curriculum and its effective dissemination to pupils
  • Experience teaching children who are autistic or have social communication and interaction needs
  • Establishing outstanding classroom practice of their own, with excellent monitoring and assessment techniques
  • Good understanding of strengths and needs of pupils who are neuro‑diverse, especially autistic pupils, and the strategies and adaptations helpful in supporting these pupils within a mainstream school
  • Strong knowledge of improvement strategies for pupil attainment
  • Effective management of people, both within school and in the wider community

Desirable

  • Teaching experience across multiple year groups.
  • Qualifications in or attended courses for supporting children with ASD
  • Relevant CPD especially in respect of ASD
  • Knowledge of Assessment and tracking development.
