We do not accept newly qualified drivers with less than 12 months of Commercial Class 1 (C+E) driving experience.

Preferred Experience

• Curtainside trailers
• Paper reels and cardboard packaging
• Ratchet strapping

Role Involves

• Clean, light work
• Mostly internal straps only
• Backload: reels and pallets
• Some inter‑depot drops
• No nights out – home every day
• Ensure vehicles comply with legal requirements, report issues to DC team
• Ensure security and accuracy of delivery of loads in charge
• Follow delivery instructions accurately and effectively
• Drive safely and efficiently
• Comply with health and safety standards, Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
• Hold valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence, UK digital tachograph card and full DQC (CPC card)

Rates

• Weekdays: £15.09 per hour
• Weekends: £16.38 per hour
• Enhanced rates after 10 hours: additional £0.40 per hour on the above
• £5 per day meal allowance (tax free)

Estimated Annual Gross Earnings

• 4 on 4 off days: c. £29,700 + bonuses
