Catering Team Member

Job Overview

DSFS is recruiting a highly experienced Catering Team Member for a part‑time role of 26.5 hours per week. The position is based within Cafe @ the Royal at Chesterfield Royal Hospital’s main entrance. The successful candidate will work four shifts per week, Monday to Sunday, and perform duties as described below.

Shift Schedule

Shifts: four days per week, between 6 am and 8 pm. Hours over 8 pm to 6 am on weekdays, and all hours on Saturdays, Sundays, and bank holidays, qualify for a 40 % enhancement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, visitors and staff in a busy, high‑volume environment.
• Support chefs with food preparation and stock rotation in restaurant areas.
• Work effectively as part of a small, fast‑paced team.
• Follow instructions and maintain calm under pressure.
• Ensure full compliance with all food safety requirements.

• Experience in a catering or hospitality role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Commitment to high standards of hygiene and food safety.
