Position Summary

An important and vital role within the Club, our Housekeeping Supervisor supports the Residential Services Director and Housekeeping Manager to ensure the overall operation runs smoothly and manages the day‑to‑day running of the department while on shift.

The team strives daily to achieve continuity of service, and you offer team members guidance and support to ensure they can fulfil their individual tasks with a clear focus on delivering exceptional service while maintaining the efficiency and quality that will meet our luxurious standards.

Keeping our incredible facilities clean and tidy requires a cohesive team approach. People are our priority, and this role requires someone who is organised, takes pride in a job well done and gains genuine enjoyment from making others happy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assign areas to the team, whether within the castle or in members’ homes, ensuring appropriate coverage according to demand.
  • Conduct daily shift briefings and lead monthly meetings, developing and training the team to maintain high standards of attention to detail.
  • Review and check each suite, home, and area of the Castle to ensure it is refreshed, maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards before, during and at the hand‑over stage of each shift.
  • Guide and train Housekeeping Assistants through planned development and the training calendar, ensuring a thorough understanding of roles and responsibilities.
  • Manage special projects or maintenance issues across the estate, coordinating and following up to ensure work is completed on schedule.
  • Respond promptly to members and guests’ requests, ensuring they are actioned professionally and positively.
  • Uphold exceptional standards, act as an ambassador for Taymouth Castle, and collaborate proactively with team members across the facilities.
  • Contribute to departmental and wider business meetings as necessary.

  • Full UK driving license – travel between locations may be required.
  • Computer proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Right to work in the UK is required; visa sponsorship is not offered. Offers are subject to successful reference and background checks.
