About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Worker to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of young people. As a Youth Worker, you will be responsible for providing support, guidance, and opportunities for personal and social development to young people aged 11-25.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging and age‑appropriate activities, programs, and workshops for young people.
• Build positive relationships with young people and create a safe and inclusive environment for them to express themselves.
• Provide one‑to‑one support and advice to young people, addressing any issues or concerns they may have.
• Work closely with other professionals and agencies to ensure the needs of young people are met.
• Identify and support young people who may be at risk or in need of additional support.
• Encourage and empower young people to participate in decision‑making processes and take on leadership roles.
• Keep accurate records of all interactions and activities with young people.
• Attend regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Promote the youth service and its activities to the wider community.

Requirements

• Knowledge of current issues and challenges facing young people.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build rapport and establish trust with young people.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
