Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher in daily classroom activities and lesson delivery
- Promote inclusion and acceptance of all pupils, encouraging independence
- Assist pupils with speech, communication, and language difficulties
- Support pupils with autism spectrum condition, severe learning difficulties, and physical or medical needs
- Foster a positive and nurturing environment that prioritises pupil wellbeing
- Contribute to personalised care and support plans for pupils with additional needs
- Help develop pupils’ social skills and confidence through engaging activities
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to individual pupil needs
- Enthusiastic, patient, and committed to supporting inclusive education
- Flexibility and a proactive approach to supporting pupils’ development
