We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team in the Cotswolds area of the Thames Valley North Wastewater Operations Region. Responsibilities
- Proactively and reactively maintain electrical assets across the Cotswolds sites.
- Investigate plant failures and carry out repairs quickly and efficiently to avoid interruptions to the process.
- Perform service and replacement of assets such as pumps, motors, starters, controls, VSDs, automatic valves, penstocks, flow/level/pressure measurement equipment, programmable logic controllers, variable speed drives, and chemical handling and dosing equipment.
- Support local maintenance teams with planned and breakdown maintenance of electromechanical wastewater assets.
- Provide technical advice to the wider team and offer training or support to technical trainees as required.
- Undertake fault diagnostics and resolve issues promptly.
- Interpret and update electrical drawings.
- Provide timely feedback on daily work.
- Monitor treatment processes using the SCADA system and act on alarms as required.
Qualifications
- Considerable experience in electrical and systems maintenance.
- NVQ Level 3 or greater in electrical engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of BS7671 or 18th Edition electrical wiring regulations.
- Experience in maintaining, testing, installing, and fault diagnosis of electrical plant equipment.
- Experience working with 3‑phase systems.
- Strong knowledge and awareness of health and safety policies and processes.
- Physical fitness and ability to work in confined spaces.
- Participation in a 24/7 out‑of‑hours standby rota after training and assessment.
- Full UK driving licence.

Location & Working Pattern
