Overview
Smile Education are looking for experienced Teaching Assistants in Leicester and Market Harborough for long term and short term roles from September. We are looking for anyone who has experience working with children in an education or residential setting. Ideally you will have knowledge of the relevant national curriculum/experience of support in a mainstream or SEN classroom. An NVQ in Teaching and Learning is ideally required – or similar – but not essential with relevant experience.
Responsibilities
- Support pupils in primary or secondary school as a TA or LSA.
- Assist in schools or other settings with young people to ensure a high standard of education and pastoral support.
- Provide support in mainstream or SEN classrooms as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in an education or residential setting.
- Knowledge of the relevant national curriculum or experience of support in a mainstream or SEN classroom.
- NVQ in Teaching and Learning preferred but not essential with relevant experience.
- Commitment to safeguarding; compliance checks including Prohibited List, Barred List, DBS and Qualifications.
