We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, conscientious and self‑motivated Caretaker who will play a key role in further enhancing our school site so that we have the highest standards in safety and cleanliness to welcome the whole community.
About you:
- Are you someone who is reliable, proactive, hardworking and flexible with a positive outlook on life?
- Have you got good organisational skills – with the ability to plan, schedule and evaluate your own work?
- Do you take a genuine pride in your place of work- have you got DIY skills and the ability to competently carry out minor repairs, general maintenance and decorating?
- Can you demonstrate good inter‑personal skills with all members of our school community – children, parents/carers, colleagues, governors and the many visitors that come to St Catherine’s?
- Do you enjoy learning new skills and keeping up to date with procedures? We will need you to be jointly responsible for Health and Safety on site, and that includes security and maintenance systems.
- Are you able to use a PC and operate basic software (internet, emails, Word documents)?
- Are you committed to being fully involved in all aspects of school life at St Catherine’s – upholding our Catholic ethos and values on a day to day basis and occasionally at special weekend events too?

Monday to Friday:
07:15 to 11.1515.00 to 18.15
The shift pattern can be flexible – please talk to us if this doesn’t suit you. Occasional ad‑hoc overtime hours may be requested for PTA events at the school.
