Art Teacher / Art ECT – permanent, full-time position starting September 2026 in an outstanding secondary school in the Borough of Merton.
Due to increased uptake in Art across KS4 & KS5, the Head of Art is looking to hire an ambitious Art Teacher / Art ECT to join their current team of 3 Art Teachers who form a larger Art & Design faculty of 12 teachers.
The School is renowned for its supportive leadership and impressive Progress 8 results across all subjects. It is invested in education, implementing new teaching practices and training staff.
Experienced Art Teachers can take on a TLR such as KS3 Coordinator, Pastoral Responsibilities, and more. Newly Qualified Art Teachers (ECT) will be enrolled onto the school’s bespoke ECT induction and will work alongside a range of young and experienced Art Teachers.

Person Specification
- Must have UK QTS or be in the process of gaining
- Strong academics across the board – Degree, A Levels and GCSEs
- Must meet the 8 Teaching Standards to a Good or Outstanding level
- Ability to work as part of a large team of Art Teachers
- Must be willing to listen to feedback
