About the role
You will spend 12 months with our growing hydraulic modelling team, supporting UK water companies to reduce the risk of spill to the environment from storm overflows and delivering a range of vital projects under ongoing design and build frameworks.
What you’ll do
- Support hydraulic modelling studies, sewerage management planning, network modelling and other projects requiring detailed technical analysis or asset management.
- Search for and organise data and information.
- Analyse, visualise and programme data using tools such as FME, Power BI, ArcGIS/QCIS and other software.
- Assist with feasibility studies and options development, including asset performance assessments, report preparation and drawings, scheduling work for subcontractors and third‑party survey teams, and liaison during projects.
- Provide technical capability on wastewater projects as part of a project team.
- Assist the Project Manager in the management and co‑ordination of projects.
- Attend and contribute to project meetings.
- Contribute to technical reports and presentations.
What you’ll need
- Currently studying a full‑time relevant degree‑level qualification (e.g. Geography, Hydrology, Environmental Science).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively within a multidisciplinary and diverse team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- An interest in developing a career in network modelling and asset management to gain a full understanding of new projects and clients, providing fresh experiences and supporting your development.
