Are you an Oxbridge graduate who wants to become a secondary school teacher?
A successful and academically ambitious secondary school in Tower Hamlets is looking for an Oxbridge Graduate Learning Support Assistant to join their team from September 2026.
This is a full-time, term-time only role designed for graduates who want to gain genuine classroom experience before starting teacher training. You will work alongside experienced teachers, support pupils across KS3–KS4 and develop the skills needed to become an outstanding classroom practitioner.
The Role
As an Oxbridge Graduate Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils in lessons across your specialist subject area
- Work with individuals and small groups to improve progress
- Help prepare resources and support lesson delivery
- Assist with intervention sessions before and after school when required
- Support pupils with varying academic abilities and learning needs
- Develop behaviour management and classroom presence
- Gain insight into planning, assessment and curriculum delivery

Candidate Specification
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree from Oxford or Cambridge University
- A 2:1 or First-Class degree
- Strong academic record at GCSE and A-Level
- A passion for education and pupil progress
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence working with young people
- A clear interest in becoming a secondary teacher
