We are a friendly, hardworking family seeking an enthusiastic, proactive, energetic, reliable, caring nanny to start ideally in mid‑May. The role will begin Monday‑Thursday 8am‑5:15pm and Friday 8am‑1:15pm, with occasional overtime and overnight stays on an as‑needed basis. From September, the role will naturally evolve to include caring for both children as the second baby arrives July.
We live on the beach in Bracklesham Bay, near Chichester, West Sussex, and the family travels 2–3 weeks a year. The nanny should be flexible and able to adapt to a changing routine. The family values a supportive, respectful working environment and seeks a long‑term partner in child care.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe, organised and tidy child‑friendly environment.
- Plan ahead and support the children’s routines.
- Attend pre‑booked classes such as music and gymnastics.
- Engage children in outdoor exploration in the garden and on the beach.
- Keep children’s areas tidy.
- Prepare nutritious meals and support weaning of the baby when appropriate.
- Handle children’s laundry.
- Plan holidays, family days out and appointments.
Requirements
- Qualified nanny with Level 3 or above; minimum 2 years nanny experience with infants and young children.
- Enhanced DBS certificate and a 12‑hour Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
- At least 2 professional referees, including the most recent employer.
- Confident driver with access to a car for duty.
- Understanding of child development and ability to encourage milestones.
- Organised, reliable, and a positive role model for the children.
Working Conditions
- Days and hours: Monday–Thursday 8am–5:15pm; Friday 8am–1:15pm.
- Start date: mid‑May (ideal).
- Schedule may require occasional overnight stays and flexible finish times.
- Location: beach in Bracklesham Bay, near Chichester, West Sussex.
- Gross pay: £28 – 38 k p/annum, depending on experience.
